Upside Down

I'm in Melbourne, Australia to see Chris make an honest man of Tobias. Melbourne reminds me a lot of other cities I've been in, particularly parts of London and San Francisco. Aside from the herds of sheep, the Yarra Valley could be a dead ringer for the Napa Valley.

It's familiar, except everyone talks funny. And they're dead nice. Like, extremely nice. Spookily nice. Maybe it's just too many years in New York, but people here go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. It's quite lovely.

Yesterday a group of us went to a nature preserve in the Yarra Valley. We saw a lot of kangaroos, koalas, etc. but they were all sleeping. The highlight of the trip was during the Birds of Prey show when the park's wedge-tail eagle was attacked by a pair of wild wedge-tail eagles. Pretty damn awesome. I hope my pictures will do it justice.

Today I'm going to Victoria Market for a hot jam donut and to meet Serge and Sabrina for some fairy penguin watching. That means they're small, not gay. Or maybe they're gay, i don't know. Should be some good stuff.

Cheers.
